Hanoi Jane's triumphant return

Tens of thousands march against Iraq war - Yahoo! News

Ironic, isn't it, that some people actually believe THIS is a GOOD thing. This is a clear statement to our enemies that we do not care about our own security. These people support denying our troops their pay, armor, equipment, food, clothing, medicine, and fuel just so they can have a political victory of their own. These people would see this country destroyed before her enemies. Sean Penn is probably telling the truth: if they don't stop the war (i.e. cut funding to our troops), the Democrats will suffer. And because Democrats have already proven that they only care about winning elections, they will probably ruin themselves horribly; if they actually believe these nutjobs anyway.

Quite frankly, I'm fed up with Hollywood morons going around thinking they actually KNOW something about this country. Actors have no place in politics. Ironic that some of our best actors are shunned by their own community because they don't believe in their leftist agenda. It's really annoying. I don't CARE about these people. I barely even watch movies! Why do they have to butt into every aspect of my life? Go back to where you came from, smoke your pot, tie yourself in a knot in your zen garden surrounded by your paparazzi. Just live in your own little world and leave the rest of us alone. We don't need you telling us that we're living the wrong life because we don't have solar panels on our houses.

Now me, I watch a lot of movies. But I have to agree with Rush -- movie stars make their money pretending to be something they're not, so they latch onto any excuse, any cause, that they can use to prove that they are valuable people in their own right, not just to bring characters to life. It's a strange sort of inferiority complex resulting from not knowing if you can make any sort of claim for what you've done.

And as an aside, comment moderation? Are you worried crazies are going to get in here or something?
